Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate, StitchStarter earns from qualifying purchases. StitchStarter is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
What that means for you
When you click a “Check price on Amazon” button and buy something - the machine we linked, or anything else in that shopping session - Amazon pays us a small percentage. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had gone to Amazon directly. Nothing is added.
Our buy links pass through a short redirect on this site before reaching Amazon, so we can count clicks and swap a destination if a retailer changes. That redirect adds no tracking of its own beyond the affiliate tag, and it is excluded from search engines.
What it does not affect
- Which machines we recommend. Commission rates are set by Amazon per product category, not per product, so we have no financial incentive to prefer one sewing machine over another.
- What we say about them. Every pick lists who should skip it.
- Editorial independence. No manufacturer pays for placement or reviews a page before publication.
Other retailers and brands
Amazon is currently the only retailer we earn from. Where we link to a manufacturer's own site - Brother, Singer, Janome - those are plain reference links and we earn nothing from them. If that ever changes, this page changes with it and the links will be labeled.
Prices
Prices shown on this site come from Amazon's own product data, are refreshed daily, and carry the date they were read. Amazon prices change constantly, so treat ours as an indication and the listing as the authority - the price you pay is the one Amazon shows at checkout. If our daily refresh stops, the figure is removed automatically and the button reverts to “Check price on Amazon”, so you are never shown a stale number.
How affiliate links are labeled
Every buy button on this site carries an #ad marker and a link back to this page, and every commercial page opens with a disclosure above the content. Outbound commercial links are marked rel="sponsored nofollow" so search engines can tell what they are.
